Female teachers and students across Uganda marked International Women's Day with special presentations and programmes in schools.

Activities included panel discussions on gender equality, mentorship sessions with female professionals, and cultural performances celebrating women's achievements.

"It's important for young girls to see role models who look like them," said one participating teacher. "These celebrations inspire the next generation of female leaders."

The Ministry of Education encouraged all schools to incorporate gender awareness into their curricula year-round, not just on International Women's Day.
